Rasika, coming from a royal family, found herself in a dire financial situation after her father's passing, leaving her family in debt and at risk of losing their childhood home to the bank. Determined to save her house, Rasika tried every possible way to find a solution. During this time, her mother met and fell in love with a wealthy Chinese man, who happened to be Ram's father. Rasika despised him, not wanting her mother to have any relationship with anyone outside of royalty. However, in the end, her mother married Ram's father, who helped the family escape their debt. In order to make Rasika submit and show her that money could make people do anything, he demanded that she marry his youngest son, Rat. If not, he would not help them regain their home. Initially, Rasika refused, but eventually agreed to save their house. Deep down, she harbored intentions of sabotaging Ram's family.

Ram met with Rasika to relay his father's demands and plan for the engagement ceremony. During the wedding, Rat did not show up, and Rasika thought she had won. However, Ram announced that he would marry her instead of Rat to uphold his father's reputation. Thus, Ram and Rasika ended up marrying each other.
